Memanfaatkan Microsoft Word 2007
Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Geometri di SMP

By utilizing the various facilities within the Microsoft Office 2007, we can develop instructional media geomatri in junior high as the business implications of the achievement of Competency Standards (SK) and Basic Competence (KD) as listed in the Education Unit Level Curriculum (SBC). In particular, the Standard of Competence junior high school students related to the geometric capability can be mentioned as follows:
1. Understanding the relationship line to line, line with an angle, corner angle, and determine its size
2. Understand the concept of a rectangle and a triangle and determine its size
3. Using the Pythagorean Theorem in problem solving
4. Determining element, the circle and its size
5. Understanding the properties of the cube, beam, prism, pyramid, and their parts, and determine its size
6. Understanding kesebangunan up flat and its use in problem solving
7. Understanding the properties of tubes, cones and spheres, and determine its size

Development of instructional media geometry is also determined by the methods of approach and type of approach taken by the teachers themselves. With the use of computers, for example by the use of Microsoft Word 2007 is expected geometry of the learning process easier to implement. Microsoft Word 2007 itself is easy to use and accessible for almost any software on all computers up to date. Utilization of Microsoft Word will make a positive contribution to both the teacher and her students. With Microsoft Word 2007, students will more easily develop the skills to make basic geometry wake wake geoletri become more complex as three-dimensional geometry. Skills can be improved to study aspects of geometry with a higher standard of competence, for example to determine the value of pi.

Some of the advantages of learning media geometry by using Microsoft Word 2007:
a. Relatih easily done by the teacher because the software is there almost every new computer generation.
b. With the software allows students to be more motivated in learning and also bring a sense of fun in learning geometry.
c. Students can study the geometry either independently or through cooperation with friends.
d. Students can conduct an investigation or investigations of concepts of geometry.
e. Students can perform activities of problem solving or solving mathematical problems.
f. Students can communicate its results to both the teacher and to other friends.
